If you love panoramic ocean and mountain views you will love Villa Vista del Mar, perched on a small hill just 100 meters yards from lovely Cofresi beach. The three front porches and spacious 38oo square foot sun terrace have numerous chaise lounges and rockers... great for watching the sunrise over the ocean, or for enjoying cocktails under the starry sky.

You will find it dificult to pull yourself away from floating in the pool while sipping a pina colada, or from taking a nap in the hammock on the 2nd floor terrace. You can also relax on the massage table as the massuese works on you. There is a cozy first floor card room popular for doing puzzles or playing games. Your full time housekeeper, Nelsida, will cook and serve your meals, snacks and drinks and then whisk away the dirty dishes. She will keep the villa tidy and tend to your laundry. All you do is RELAX. When there are 5 or more guests, we provide a second full time maid to ensure everyone receives adequate attention. We want to be certain that our guests enjoy a truly carefree vacation.

Julio, our houseman, keeps our vast gardens, spacious pool,walled terraces and home in pristine condition. He provides airport meeting service for our guests as well as other optional services such as food shopping and running on errrnads.

If you can tear yourself away from the comfort of the villa and attentive maid service, you can walk down our dirt road to our beautiful crescent shaped beach, about 3/4 of a mile from point to point and lined with palm and sea grape trees. The surf is gentle and ideal for swimming. No worries about rip tides, undertow or strong currents. Just wonderful swimming!

Puerto Plata is a wonderful destination for any size group because there is so much to see and do, and everything is so inexpensive. Babysitters for children cost about $30 for a full day. Wonderful meals at local restaurants start as low as $15 per entree. The Dominican version of 'Cheers' is just down the street at an oceanfront thatched-roof restaurant called Chris & Madys.

We are just 15 miles west of the Puerto Plata Int'l Aiport (POP) on the north coast. Service is also available from the Santiago Int'l airport (STI) but that is 60 miles away and a 1 1/2 hour trip.Playa Cofresi is about 3 miles west of the colorful, historic city of Puerto Plata where you will find tourist sites, shopping and a large farmer's market with abundant fresh produce and lots of local crafts.

Playa Cofresi is ideally located for all types of vacationers... Stay in our lovely cove and enjoy the local amenities, or use it as a base to explore the many interesting sights along the North Coast. Either way, you are bound to have fun.

Guests may take advantage of several optional services such as: Airport Transfer, Initial Food Set Up, Ongoing Food Shopping & Errand Service, etc. Full details and options are available upon booking. Fees for these services are separate from the Rental Rates

A 50% Deposit is required to secure a reservation. The balance is due one month prior to vacation. Cancellation Policy: Monies will be re-funded if the villa can be re-rented for the same time period. We encourage purchasing travel insurance if you feel there is a risk of cancellation.

Other Amenities/Features: All guest bedrooms are on the second floor and have individual air conditioning units and orthopedic matresses. Two oceanview bedroom suites have their own private bath, sitting area and terraced balconies. The third oceanview bedroom shares the large terraced balcony (where you will find a lovely hammock) and has a full bath immediately outside the doorway entrance. The large L shaped dormitory has two twin beds and two bunk beds to sleep 6 comfortably. Kids and adults alike love it! The 5th bedroom has views of the mountains and has two twin beds. Two cribs and folding cot with 4' mattress.
Other Activities: If you desire more activity, talk to the local Tours & Activities Director to learn about the numerous adventures and outings. You can go on a horseback ride into the mountains, a jeep safari to amazing waterfalls, a catamaran snorkeling trip along the ocean, try white water rafting, ride a cable car up the mountain, take the kids to a go cart park, and much more. There is a Robert Trent Jones golf course and 3 gambling casinos about 6 miles away. Further away, at Playa Grande (about 40 miles) is a fabulous golf course considered the best in the Caribbean. Owner's Suggested Restaurants: Dining out in and around Playa Cofresi is a treat because the ambiance is so pleasant, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. No matter where you go, dress is ALWAYS casual so just wear your jeans, shorts and sandals or other comfortable attire. In many places you’ll be able to enjoy your dinner and a drink and probably not pay much more that $20 US including the tip. Owner's Suggested Activities: Our charming seaside community is now home to Ocean World, the Caribbean's largest and newest interactive marine aquatic park where you swim with dolphins, snorkel in a huge salt water aquarium, watch sea lions perform or enjoy a wide variety of other activities. In addition, Ocean World Marina with a full scale marina, dive shop , casino, 5 star restaurant, and entertainmentcenter with Las Vegas style shows is now open. All this is just a 10 minute walk from the villa.
